I first thought at this stage to write about having your own website (which personally I think is important), but then I realized that for most of the readers, unless they're HTML experts, building their own commercial website will be difficult, and will require either a lot of time (if they have to learn everything about how to do it) or a lot of money (if they should hire someone to do it for them), so I decided to first write about business opportunities.
Business opportunities are mostly (but not necessarily) some kind of MLM. Why do I think that they are more important than having your own website? Mainly because generally they will offer you an already made website, so that you can start right away without wasting long hours on building your website, or investing a lot of money in hiring someone to do it for you.
If you searched the internet for sometime before coming here then you must know that there are literally thousands of business opportunities online. I have to admit that I didn't check all of them, and I don't believe that even if I lived for the next 300 years I could try them all... so I can recommend only those programs I did try and found to be good programs.
Now anyone who get involve with such a program have to understand that it is not enough to buy or subscribing to a program in order to succeed. The mistake most people do is that they buy (or subscribe to) a business opportunity, get their affiliate link or their website and think that their efforts came to an end, and the website or link will do the rest of the work by themselves. I am aware that part of the illusion is due to the promotion that is being used to make you get involved. But you have to know that when it says to "take action", subscribing or buying the business opportunity is only a fraction of the action you should take. The real action is promoting your website or your link - doing what will make your program profitable. As a matter of fact I have to admit that in the beginning I have made the same "sin" of subscribing myself to some programs and doing nothing farther. I "did" so much nothing about these business opportunities that I don't even remember their names or what they offered, and needless to say I didn't gain any money from them...
So after all this is said and done I would like to proceed to describe the types of business opportunities that I know of and what they offer.
There are two types of business opportunities: one is a kind of already made online shop that contains some kind of products that you supposed to sell by promoting your shop and pages from it. The other type is a kind of MLM that offers a product or a service that are not a one time purchase, but are in continues use (like nutrition, foods for animals or coaching) and therefore create a residual income. Both kind of programs will generally have a compensation plan for recruiting new participants. Some of them will be totally free, some are one time payment and some are paid for on a monthly basis.
Now I would like to explain about the programs that I tried personally. First - this website in itself (of course without most of the content) is a part of a business opportunity that I got involved in. You can read all about it here. But just to give you the idea, this opportunity puts together 6 different business opportunities and promotes them all at once, instead of promoting 5 different websites separately (one of them is not a website). Now all these programs will benefit you in different ways and will create for you a residual income (of course, as I said before if you do something about them after subscribing...). Now if you bothered to read the page you will see that the recommendation is to subscribe right a way for the 6-fold program that includes the website. If you ask me personally, I think it depends on the time and money that you have.
The complete program is certainly very useful, it gives you a basic website that you can leave as it is for the time being, or change it if you have the money or time it requires (but you don't have to do it right a way). It saves you money in the sense that you don't have to pay for promoting every program separately. Not only this, it has a 30 days guide on the back office where you can learn what actions you should take in order to make this program profitable. you get an auto responder included loaded with pre-written letters to follows up for you those people who sign up for the mini course or free e-books (have you heard of "the money is in the list"?), but at the same time gives you the opportunity to contact your list subscribers by yourself if you want to. In addition you can always have a good support and advice as a member of the Internet Warriors forum, a membership that you get automatically when you take the package and the hosting. As far as I know (if things haven't changed in the last months) in addition you also have 30 days of trial on the promotion coop of the program's members. This coop uses capital of many users to make promotions that a single person cannot generally afford, and divides the traffic to all the participants' websites. It also gives useful tools for promotions, like articles already made for blogs, a service of a real low cost ghost written articles and article's distribution service. These are of course the pros for taking the 6-fold business opportunity package. I honestly think that if you use all the services this opportunity offers you, it can serve you well. But as I said before these are all tools - you should take action and use these tools. If you don't want to use the paid tools - at least use massively the tools and recommended methods that are free. It may take longer to get results, but on the long run you will certainly have results.
Now there are other two points to consider - one is that when you take the whole package you actually get your own website with your own chosen domain, and your hosting (which is an inevitable expense if you want to have your own website and domain) so if you're not going to use it well you will be wasting your money paying for hosting and not getting anything done. Therefore I suggest that you take the whole package when you make up your mind to actually do something serious with it. In general - if you take your work in the internet as a hobby you would probably end up spending more than earning. As you know, one generally spends money on hobbies and not getting profits from them.
The other point is that this business opportunity is meant for people who want to dedicate their website to work at home and all kinds of business opportunities. If you had something else in mind for your ideal business it may not be right for you. But this is not necessary the case with the different components of this deal.
Now if I have to break the 6 fold program to its different components it will look like this:
SFI - offers you a free website, but in order to increase your income you can choose to upgrade. The nice thing about SFI is that it offers not only recruiting members opportunity (that if you go for the whole package will be the right one to take), it offers a mall with all kinds of product to sell, that can fit any topic of a website you may choose. SFI offers also other programs and you should just see what is best for you and the kind of business that you want to have on line.
Traffic Swarm
- is free, but will not produce you a direct income, instead it will give you free traffic (and is one of the very few free traffic programs that are actually useful on the net). Whatever kind of business online you will choose to have, you will always need traffic, so it can always be useful.
Empowerism and Success University are both paid for but give you a trial period. Both these programs offer you some kind of training and coaching. Empowerism is more specific for internet business, and Success University is much more extensive and aspire to give you inspiration to have general success in life no matter what you do. It is very useful and helpful and I would recommend taking it even just for the trial period. It is like having many expert coaches working with you on whatever subject you're interested in.
Click bank is not a business opportunity in the sense the other ones are, and the use of it is very minimal on the website. If you want a business opportunity with click bank I would recommend CBmall much more. It's more specific for affiliate marketing, and has very useful tools and guidance for members, and of course clickbank has about 11,000 products and CBmall has about 60 different pages that can be promoted on websites focused on any subject. If you click the link and go to this page, you will see at the bottom that you can subscribe for a free newsletter with marketing information, and you can also check a box to have some information of CBmall as a business opportunity.
These are the programs I tried. and I will surely let you know when I find some other effective programs.
